macbook short circuit

I am not sure , but i think my macbook logicboard was short circuit. It was working fine and was low on charge. I plugged in the MagSafe Adapter and i heard some noise and my macbook pro went blank. It has been two days now, and is not booting up.

I tried various techniques found on internet and none of them seems to be working. Any help before I wait for this quarantine to be over and take it to a repair shop.

MagSafe Adapter wire is not good. it's rubber has come out and the nylon surrounding around it is torn. I think it created the short circuit.

Appreciate if you could provide any help here.

You wrote the MagSafe power adapter cord was obviously damaged. I'd substitute another power adapter before concluding it damaged the MacBook Pro.

You can buy one without having to go anywhere: Find the right power adapter and cable for your Mac notebook

Don't use the damaged power adapter. Try these suggestions: If your Mac doesn't turn on or start up - Apple Support.

Hi John,

Thank you for the quick turnaround. I still see the orange and green light turning up in adapter when i plug it in.

In addition to what i wrote above, I also want to add that I smelt something when this short circuit happened. I can definitely buy another adapter and try. My concern was what if it still does not boot up.

I will let this quarantine time pass and visit the retail shop. I will update you further.

Really thank you for the reply. And, giving me the hope that my macbook is still safe :)
