Monitor not detected after applying Security Update 2020-002

My Macmini8,1 (2018 Mac Mini) running 10.14.6 did not detect any DisplayPort to USB-C cable inserted into the rightmost of this unit's USB-C ports after applying the Security Update 2020-002 Mojave.

Mac mini 2018 or later

Following the steps in this post, I reset the SMC (twice, also) and rebooted with no peripheral cables inserted. After waiting, I reconnected all peripherals and both monitors now work.
