Apple watch not recognising me wearing it

I've recently noticed when I open the activity on my phone, my apple watch has marked me not wearing it for an hour in the middle of the day, when I most definitely have been wearing it and have been moving around. The stand bars are blank like it's charging, and it hasn't registered any activity. This has happened three seperate times now, only for an hour. Any advice? TIA

I see that your Apple Watch stops sensing that you're wearing it. It doesn't register your activity during this time, and I'm glad to help with this.

Wearing your Apple Watch -- Make sure you're wearing your Apple Watch correctly. If it's too loose, it may be the cause that the watch doesn't recognize it's on. Make sure that it’s snug enough and test the issue a bit.
