As I understand it, you're trying to restore a device and you're unable to because the Home button isn't working. Is that right?
Depending on what's happening with the Home button, this might help: If a button or switch isn't working on your iPhone or iPad
- "Remove any protective films or cases that might block the button or switch.
- Check for debris or dirt around the button or switch and clean with a soft cloth."
