Black bezels on external monitor

Hi

I just bought a Dell P2720DC monitor for my Macbook Pro 13'' 2018 with touch bar. It's a QHD (2560x1440) monitor with USB-c connection.

When I connect the mac to the monitor, via USB-C, the picture shows up with some quite large bezels around it (on the monitor). I know it could sound like a problem with the monitor, but whenever I connect my sisters Macbook Air 2019 or a Macbook Pro 13'' 2019 (without touch bar) it works perfectly well, and the monitor is "filled out" completely.

I've checked the setting and can't seem to find the problem. Hopefully some of you guys can.

Appreciate it.

Solution: Safe start. Restarted the MacBook while holding down the shift key - then restarted normally and it worked.
