Accessibly Switch Control Problems

Hello,

I am attempting to use switch control for one specific multi-stage task, in one app and am experiencing problems.

i have a recipe and switch configured, however when I attempt to activate the sequence (triple click home button on iPhone 11) an alert appears on the screen which I am unable to interact with, (cancel or OK) and my recipe runs (the three dots move as programmed) BUT it does not “click” where it is positioned. For example, as seen in the screenshot below, the first action in my recipe is “refresh” this does not happen, nor do the subsequent actions.

if possible I would like to disable the alert (titled “Important”) and have the recipe “click” on the areas of the screen which the coursers are positioned in the programmed sequence .

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello DaveG303,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with Switch Control. You mention this issue is only occurring in one specific app, right? Which app are you experiencing this with?

Thanks and have a wonderful day.

The alert that appears when switch control is engaged does NOT appear on my friends phone which executes the recipe functionality.

The recipe is supposed to do as follows:

1- tap bottom of screen (clicking “refresh”)

2- tap screen in the upper 1/6th portion, selecting a block in this specific app “Amazon Flex”

3- swipe across bottom of screen, same place as step 1 occurred.

steps 2/3 only occur if a block is available in the app. Step 1 (refresh) however should always be actionable.

thanks for your help.
