Apple TV+ wont play shows

When I try to play any show, it says "to watch this content sign in to Itunes store" . When I put in the password (which its accepts because I have tried bad passwords and seen failures) it just goes back to the shows Launch Page.

This is a 4th gen apple TV device I hadn't turned on in a few years. I have subscribed to the service and am able to view shows on browser in Android. I I updated all of the software... and even performed a factory reset and update.

When I go to the TV app on my Apple TV, is shows the program I have stated on the Android device and asks if I want to continue. So clearly it has my account information.
