APP can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because OS X version 10.11 or later is required.
How do I update to 10.11 or later. It doesn't even come up as a software update needed? Currently have OS X 10.9.5

Open the App Store and click on Updates. It should show any available updates, including OS versions.
Mac OS X 10.9 was released in 2013, and 10.11 was released in 2015. Have you not run any OS updates since then?

If your profile is correct, then you have an iMac from 2012 or later. You will need to upgrade it to Catalina. How to upgrade to macOS Catalina.
