How to add apps to access mic and sound on macbook?

How to add apps to access mic and sound on MacBook? I am trying to add access to Remote Desktop Manager Free, but it doesn't find the app in my MacBook...

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

You can't. It needs to be part of the installed app.

I take it you want the Microsoft app? Microsoft Remote Desktop is free but the Apple Remote Desktop is $80.00.

The mic and sound are controlled in Sound preferences panel.

The section only shows apps that have access to the mic. You cannot add anything there.
