downloads
I want to delete downloads, I went to finder to view downloads. Tried to click and delete and no response?? what next?

Are you an administrator?
Is the browser that downloads to that folder still open?
command-Tab to look for open programs, and use their named menu in the upper left to quit them before attempting to delete downloads.
