I recently broke my phone and the entire screen went black, although pushing the home button it’s still functions I’m just curious if it will still be able to work if I got a new screen? Because when I try plugging it into the computer for iTunes it doesn’t appear or detect it. Just curious if the fact that the home button still works that the phone also is still usable? (It was slammed on a dresser btw to give an image

First of all, how do you know the home buttons works, or maybe I should ask what happens when you tap the home button?

Second, only an Apple Store or an Authorized Service provider can tell you if the screen can be replaced or it there is further damage that would make replacing the screen futile.
