Updating MacBook Air 2017

Im trying to update MacBook Air but it saying I don't have enough storage to be able to do it, I completely got rid of anything I don't think I need. Any help how to do it would be appreciated.

That's not enough. You should try to free up a minimum of 20 GB. And keep it at that for best system and application performance.
