Microphone Use With Ipad Pro
I purchased a Saramonic lavalier micorphone that indicated it worked with ipads and iphones. The jack does fit my iphone but NOT my ipad Pro (similar to headphone situation). Is there an adaptor of any type???

Saramonic LavMicro Di has a Lightning male connector. That’s not going to work easily.
Check with Saramonic, and see what they recommend for USB-C connections.
There is at least one Saramonic lavalier mike with a USB-C connection.
There are lavalier products with Bluetooth, which would work across most devices.
But check with the vendor and vendor FAQs, as they know their products best.
If you can return this and go to Bluetooth, I’d seriously consider it...

It’s using a Lightning male connector.
To get this to work in the typical setup, a USB-C male connector is needed, for a direct connection. Which means this lavalier will work with only some iPad models. Those with Lightning female socket.
Bluetooth works across iPhone and iPad, wirelessly, no connectors and no adapters.
I’m not aware of a way to get from the USB-C female socket on the iPad Pro to the Lightning female socket that would be necessary for the lavalier microphone and its Lightning male connector used here.
I’d return it, and get a model with a USB-C, or with Bluetooth.
If you’re doing voiceovers or narration with this set-up and sitting, and not walking around doing presentations, I’d suggest a condenser mike over a dynamic mike. Røde, Audio Technica, Blue, and many other vendors produce these. Most new mikes are USB, so you’d need to get an adapter to go from USB-C to USB-A, or from Lightning to USB-A, and those adapters are available.
Sound from a good-quality microphone—and I’m far, far, far from an audiophile—is massively better than on the in-built mikes, and similarly better than the typical lavalier dynamic mikes I’ve worked with. That written, the dynamic mikes are more rugged against getting knocked around.
But for get-it-done, a Bluetooth lavalier will certainly work.
Thank you so much. I was afraid this was the case. I may just try to use the mike with my iphone and see if I can get good sound/video that way.
