upgrading from an old versio of Ios to a uptodate one

Hi All, I have a MacBook Air 2014, i did not do the upgrades from a long time. So I have still OS X 10.9.5. HOw could I upgrade to the latest version? or which version of i os would run on my device? thank you

Do note that Catalina does not run 32 bit Apps, so any older apps not updated to 64 bit you are currently using on 10.9.5 Mavericks will not work on Catalina.


The Catalina installer will show you a list of incompatible apps before you update so you can verify what will not work.
