Using a CAC with an IPad pro

Has anyone figured out how to use a CAC reader with an IPad Pro?

Does Thunderbolt port on iPAD Pro (3rd Gen) support CAC readers? When I purchased the newest generation of iPad I assumed the thunderbolt would work like my MacBook Pro thunderbolt ports and I could use my CAC Card Reader on my iPad. So far, not the case. Does anyone have a way this has worked for them?

Unfortunately it is not possible to use a CAC reader on an iPad.
