Hello tamar145,

It sounds like your old phone number is being used in iMessage settings instead of the number you currently use with your iPhone. I have some steps you can try that should help get your new number activated with iMessage.

To remove your old phone number and get iMessage and FaceTime activated with the correct one, you'll need to follow the steps in Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime, specifically this section:

"On your iPhone, iPad, and iPod:

    • Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
    • Go to Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.

On your iPhone:

    • Go back to Settings > Messages and make sure that iMessage is turned on.
    • Tap Send & Receive, then choose “Use your Apple ID for iMessage” and sign in with your Apple ID.

If you still need help, change your Apple ID password and repeat the setup steps. If that doesn't work, contact Apple Support."

I recommend completing the steps above for FaceTime as well if you're signed into it in Settings.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Take care.
