Highly unhappy with the new music app

A friend posted a new album to Apple Itunes. I wanted to buy it to give something back to them. But I only have the Music app on my Mac, iTunes is discontinued and I can't install it. Apple Music put me in a dark pattern UI loop to subscribe to Apple Music. After trying for a long time and even searching on the net, I could find no way to buy the Album without subscribing to Apple Music.

This is a huge dark pattern and horrible UX which is the antithesis of what Apple used to stand for. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. This is embarrassing on Apple's part. I'm now going to go out of my way not to subscribe or recommend Apple Music to anyone.

Akhudek -- If you have the Music app, you do not need iTunes. You can make purchases the usual way, once you click NO to those come-ons for the streaming service. Pls follow the exact steps in here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204839
