My iPhone 11 Pro max does not turn on

I am facing this problem with my iPhone 11 Pro max from the past week. It suddenly turns off and does not turn on. I trued Apple customer care they did a remote debug but did not find any issue.

They mentioned its an OS issue.

I do not have any physical damage or water damage. The phone turns off and turn on at its own. I updated the iOS to 13.4 now the phone turned off and does not turn on at all. Any suggestion would help

I have tried to restart, but do not find any way to turn on my iPhone.

This looks like a waste of money now I am able to make any calls, text, WhatsApp, Twitter. All is gone, I am not sure what can be done.

Force restart works but, I think my iPhone had a different issue.

I noticed that my iPhone was heating even when its not connected to charger and not doing any thing. This was trigging my iPhone to shutdown.

Here are the steps that I followed.

  1. Wait till the battery dies out (for me I kept it for 5 days without using)
  2. At this point when I press power button I did not see the battery and power cable icon
  3. Now I connected my iPhone to my MAC. Wait till Apple logo comes and phone is charged around 25% or 30%
  4. I had an iOS update notification so updated the iOS to 13.4.1
  5. The new iOS is installed and my phone is started.
  6. Now when I touch my phone its getting hotter so unplugged the power cable.
  7. Now I did a force restart as described here https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/iphone/iph8903c3ee6/ios
  8. After the Apple logo came the phone came back to normal temperature.
  9. Now my phone is charged to 90% and its not hot.
  10. I checked the Battery Health-> Maximum capacity is 98%
  11. Turned off Bluetooth since I do not user it much.

I think the force restart option will only work when the iPhone is turned on. It did not work for me when my phone went blank. So I had to discharge the battery before I could use this method.

Now my iPhone is in working state.

Thank you all for your replies.

Hope this helps.

I just woke up with the exact same issue and nothing I tried worked. But I found a fix, I found another thread of the same issue and it suggested

Press volume up button and release

Press volume down button and release

Now hold the power button until the apple logo comes on. Mine took a few seconds, I was getting worried it wasn't working but then IT WORKED! This finally turned on my phone and it was working like nothing ever was wrong with it.

Good luck with you phone.

I have left my iPhone with out charging and hope its completely drained out of battery. Now I connected my iPhone to the wall charger in 40 sec my iPhone turned on. I did not see any Apple logo(Possible that I have missed it). I just saw my home screen.

It is in the same state that I left it. With the same background and settings.

Looks like some software issue. The only solution for me is to shutdown my phone till battery drains and turn it on. Will keep posting on this thread.

As of now I have disable Automatic Software updates I see my iOS version is 13.4. I see an update to 13.4.1 but I am not going to update it.

I checked my Battery health it shows 98%.

Will keep posting. I do not think the issue is fixed looks like a issue with iOS itself.

I have left the iPhone to charge for more than 12 hours. Expect it to be fully charged or at least come out of Low Power Mode. I also have tried connecting to the Charger for an hour and then trying but I do not see any thing.

I also tried holding all three keys but no use.

If I am missing out any more key combination please let me know..
