I am unable to watch more purchased from Apple store due to HDCP error. Computer not plugged into anything and have restarted several times as well as clearing warnings and cache. Very frustrating.

Greetings changbaoling,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're unable to watch a movie you've purchased from the iTunes Store on your Mac, as you're receiving an HDCP error upon attempting to play the content.

I suggest restarting your Mac, attempting to download the video, and reporting the issue if the behavior persists. You can see those suggestions from the following article: If you can't stream or watch movies or TV shows from the Apple TV app, iTunes Store, or third-party apps - Apple Support

Kind regards.

I have restarted my Mac book many times now as advised in my original email. I have deleted the movie and downloaded it again and still get the same error. I tried it on my phone and the movie started playing so it appears to be my mac book that has the problem. I rent movies all the time and have never had this problem before so I am guessing something to do with the latest update has messed with something. I now only have 48 hours to view the movie as it started on my phone. Since I am in isolation in NZ would be nice to be able to access movies at this time. Look forward to some help.
