Connecting two LG ultrafine 4k display using thunderbolt 2 port on my macbook pro retina 15in, with an adapter converting tb 2 to tb 3 socket. now the issue is I'm also connecting the another ultrafine with tb3 daisy chain, that doesn't work, seems a compatibility bug to me, the audio does work though, but nothing shows up on the second screen.

The Mac has never supported daisy-chaining large displays.
Put each on its own ThunderBolt port if you want them to work.

The ThunderBolt-3 <-->Thunderbolt-2 adapter is a very limited device.
What you are asking it to do in manufacture a ThunderBolt-3 connection from a Thunderbolt-2 computer port. That is far beyond its capabilities.

Thanks Grant, those aren't large displays per se, I'm linking only two 23.7in displays...it works on my wife's newer model Macbook Air with thunderbolt 3 direct connect, just after the adapter, it seems the daisy chain capability is lost...
yup, understand that should work, just felt those seems to be a firmware compatibility bug, the two displays both show up in System Information as daisy chain devices as I just check the thunderbolt info, but just the latter connected but not lighting up.
:(, maybe what you said is the only quick-fix, an expensive fix also.
