This rectangular outline appeared after fumbling some settings. What is it, and how to disable it? (get rid)
I myself have never encounter this on my Macs past and present before.

If rebooting gets you nowhere, download and enable full device access and run EtreCheck, and open a new reply here and then press the button that looks like a printed page to get a text input box big enough to paste the hardware and software configuration report here.
Yes, same issue.
Okay will try. Thought it is some settings like under Accessibility a hot key that triggers the appearance of a box. Thanks.
