After setup, will Switch Control work once devices are on different WIFI networks?

Is there a way for me to configure an iPad for my elderly mother so I can operate it remotely when she is on her home WIFI and I am on mine?

Control Another Apple Device I have assisted my 86yo mother with transitioning to an iPhone and an entirely wireless smart home. I am extremely proud of her for embracing technology, however, often there are times when she doesn't understand what she needs to do. Usually, it is something that can be changed in the settings within the app she is using, or she has accidentally gotten somewhere she isn't familiar with. Since she has appointed me as her "personal technical support specialist" I usually help her out. Because I live 21 miles from her, it is not always convenient or possible to drive the hour+ round trip to resolve her problem. Is there a way to remote access her phone? Something like Switch Control but for devices that are not on the same Wi-Fi network? Any help or suggestions are welcomed.

Is it possible to remotely view (and control) an iPad? My mother (88 years old) uses an iPad to communicate with us children, grand-children and grand-grand-children. She masters this mostly ok but inevitably again and again bumps into situations where she doesn't know what to do or how to react to certain dialogues or popups (typically update-, license- or security-related stuff). It would be most helpful if she could then call me for assistance and I could remotely view (and ideally control) here device from my PC. I googled for such SW but haven't found anything convincing, yet. Most products even require to use the same WiFi network which clearly is a no-go in our situation. Is there any solution or product that could be helpful for our use-case?

Hello,

You could try using Apple Configurator on a Macintosh to create a configuration profile which has a payload for your mother’s Wi-Fi network. This is meant more as an enterprise tool however it will perform your suggested task.
