Telephone number specification when texting from different devices
How can I send texts from my iPad without identifying my iPhone number to the recipient. Although they are on the same account they still have different phone numbers?

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking? Do you and someone else share the same Apple ID? Why would you not want the recipient to know where the text is coming from? Sorry, but your question is confusing.
I don't think you can do that to be honest. If you had two iPhones, both on the same Apple ID (one for work and one for personal), you could have both numbers tied to iMessage. But I don't think that's how you're currently operating, right?
Well first of all, the phone number tied to your iPad is not actually a telephone number. It's for data use only. No iPad has a cellular radio like an iPhone. So an iPad cannot text on its own. It has to use continuity services, tied to an iPhone for text messages to be sent or received. Thus, what you're hoping to do isn't possible given your setup.
If you want a separate number for business, you can get a free Google Voice number. You do end up needing to use the Google Voice app, but that could be worthwhile if you want to keep things separate.

Thanks very much. That makes sense!
Send it via your Apple ID, unless you are not talking about an iMessage and are referring to an actual SMS, which has to come from your iPhone. The iPad cannot do SMS.
I would like to use my iPad to respond to texts related to business issues and texts from my iPhone for personal matters. This will separate the correspondence although coming from the same account
Correct. I have an ipad and an iphone tied to the same account. They have different phone numbers , however because they are tied to the same apple id, i cannot separate their individual identities
You're welcome
