Update for iPad mini

If your children need iPads, now, for schools, and you cannot afford to purchase these, you need to call you local government and/or city/town school district and see if they have any tablet programs for children's education or other similar community programs for kids to obtain tablets for school learning.

If no joy, Amazon has older new and “renewed” ( refurbished ) iPads that run more recent iOS versions.

These older iPads are much cheaper than new and still run a much more current OS.

Older iPads

2013, 1st generation iPad Air, iPad Mini 2 and 3 models can run a maximum iOS 12.4.6, currently.

2014 2nd gen iPad Air 2 and 2015 iPad Mini 4 can both run the latest versions of iPadOS 13.

I found a couple for you at close to the $200 U.S.D. range that will are now close to 6-years old, but will run tje latest iPadOS 13 versions.
