I watch series 3

I’m trying to charge my watch when I put it on the charger the symbol for charging comes on the automatically just goes off back to the face and doesn’t charge ? I’ve tried turning off and on and hard shut off no luck I’ve even tried different plugs but I only have one magnetic charging pad that came with the watch any help please
