Not receiving mms from android on Wi-Fi calling

my Wife’s iPhone 8 wont receive mms from android devices while on Wi-Fi calling. We live in an area with very limited cellular signal and use a ATT microcell. We experience no issues when the microcell is working properly but lately it hasn’t been so we’ve been relying on the Wi-Fi calling. Anyone ideas?

i-Fi calling is just that, calling. It does not have anything to do with text messages. To my knowledge, it does not support cellular data, but you would have to verify that with AT&T. MMS from Android devices requires cellular data, and if your wife's device does not have cellular data, then she would not be able to receive them. I suggest you contact AT&T about the problem with the Microcell and if wi-fi calling will support cellular data.

Are you connected to a WiFi through which you are making WiFi Voice Calls. WiFI Call is not the same as WiFi.

WiFi call is like a regular call but the channel used is the internet instead of a phone line. When you use WiFi calling you won't be using your carrier's network connection. Instead, you are going to make voice calls through the WiFi network. ... Therefore, the first thing you need to enjoy this service is WiFi access.

What ever WiFI access you have connect your mobile to that and you will be able to get MMS sent from Android on your iPhone
