imessage for Mac 12/31/00

I have just upgraded to 10.15.4. I have been messaging with a friend on iMessage using their phone number as reference and today added them as a contact. When I did this all my conversations with them on my Mac iMessage reverted to the date 12/31/00, however on my iPhone the conversations remain with the right date but now show their name, rather than their phone number. Can anyone help me understand why the Mac has made this change? Is it a bug? Many thanks.....

iMessage mixing up contacts / message threads I am signed into my Apple ID on my personal iPhone, work iPhone, iPad, and iMac. All running the most recent iOS/iPadOS/macOS update. Recently, some conversations in iMessage have gotten mixed up and don't show as being received from the correct contact. For example: I have a 1:1 conversation with Fred, and another, separate 1:1 conversation with Molly. Since yesterday, new messages from Fred appear in the conversation with Molly, but it doesn't show Molly's name, only her (work landline) phone number. The previous message history with Fred has disappeared. This is happening on my iPad and work iPhone, but things all look normal on my personal iPhone and on my iMac. What is going on? Can I restore the lost messages from Fred? And how can I separate back out the two conversations? I really don't want Molly getting messages for Fred or vice-versa! Similar questions have been asked before - but a long time ago with earlier OS versions.

Syncing iMessage on iPhone and MacBook. I am attempting to sync my iMessage messages from my iPhone (Which uses my phone number) to my Macbook. When going into iMessage preferences on my MacBook, there is no phone number option, only my Apple ID email. Does anyone know a fix? Both devices are fully updated.

iMessages on new MacOS Just setup a new Mac mini today and my iMessages aren't syncing among my iOS or other MacBook. Any new message I send will but I am not getting any of my older ones. Any tips or ideas? Thank you! ~T
