Phishing my 86 year old father and stealing $600.

In the past hour my 86 year old father gave his debit card number to someone he thought was an apple support person. He received an email from ****@ apple.helps.com

Re: [New Update Activity] [Summary Update] - Your account has added login from other device - please verify your information, received from: **** - [**** Telecom Limited]

They took $198 three times on the Pay App he had installed on his phone.

He called me to his room to ask me to help him scan the QR code on the back of his Driver's License as he was being directed by a "support" person on the phone.

This is the phone number 855-****-1100.

I immediately took the phone and realized that the guy on the other line was literally stealing money from him.

I've canceled his debit card and transferred the rest of his funds out of the account.

Similar to child protections, we need senior protections on smart phones.

You should have an app for your father that can analyze phishing emails.
