Music 1.0.4.104 on 10.15.4 no longer scrolling album artwork

When more than a single image is used for artwork, Music app 1.0.4.104 no longer allows scrolling and thus makes navigating the artwork impossible. This is a regression introduced with 1.0.4 as this problem did not exist in iTunes or music app 1.0.3.

I wish more testing was done before updates are released. music app fixed two known and create two new issues by introducing regressions.

Screenshot showing an example where sideways scrolling is not possible. This is reproducible for any album with more than one image as artwork.

Join the club!! I have been working with Apple Canada support who have done trouble shooting with me to no avail. They have since escalated taking full system images etc and sent it off to Apple USA for advanced trouble shooting. It has been with them for the past short week and I am hoping for a response this week (April 20 2020). I have a lot of time and effort into additional artwork that is no longer viewable. My scroll function works fine in numbers or excel so I know it is not in the hardware or OS input processing. It is similar to when in Excel you lock the viewable area so that sideways scrolling is disabled. Sigh !

So I heard back from Apple Canada. They indicated the scrolling problem was indeed a problem (not just my specific installation). This provided great comfort but alas, did not fix the problem. My dilemma is should I revert to an earlier version using Time Machine or wait for a fix from Apple or, consider migrating to a different platform all together. There are many other player platforms but they often seem to piggy back off the iTune/Music Library like Spotify or Media Monkey. The most promising I have seen is Roon Labs but it is a monthly subscription. Roon provides a realtime database of artist information to go along with your selected music. It puts your music into your own "server" so you have local storage and access. If I use Time Machine to revert my total system, I would have to go back to April 6th which means I have a lot of intermediate information email and files etc that I would lose unless I back it up elsewhere. So, I am currently waiting to see if Apple will fix this. The expectation from Apple is that users should keep the OS and applications current and adopt revisions in a timely manner. That expectation is in serious jeopardy if they continue to issue buggy updates.
