Copy Iphone10 picture and video files to PC

I backed up my Iphone10 to my computer (Itunes) but don't see any files. How can I upload my pictures and videos so I can edit them and save to a directory on my computer?

Issue with backing up iphone 7 plus. PLEASE HELP ME I am trying to import photos from my iphone 7 plus to my PC and it is not recognizing the iphone or allowing me to view or download the photos. My father has the same iphone as I do and his will connect and download photos to the same PC. HELP. Please.
