What is link between other storage and storage occupied by photos app?

deleted so many videos and photos from my 128 GB phone to free up space. but now the photos seem to stuck in the "other" storage and I can't find or remove them. As i deleted photos the yellow area become small and grey area increase, is there a link between storage of photos and other storage? And how i can get rid from huge 35gb of other storage? I already free up my safari cache and sms memory. Please help
