My Mail Icon shows as open in the sidebar but when I try to open Mail on my Macbook Pro nothing happens. Operating system MacOS Catalina ver 10.15.0

Mail item will not open when clicked Hi I am having an issue with mac mail. The messages are all displayed but when I click on any message it will not open. Can anyone help. I can still open mail on my macbook

Did you try rebooting?

Did you try updating your software?
