Macbook Air disconnects and reconnects to power supply

Hello! Video of what it's doing below. My Macbook Air (retina circa 2018, 13 inch, running newest catalina OS) keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to my power cable and won't charge. However, it will charge when using the same cable to plug into my main computer.

Troubleshooting I've done:

  • I've contacted Apple and got a new power cube, and it's still doing the disconnect and reconnect problem.
  • I've tried resetting my PRAM and SMC, still not working.
  • I've replaced the prongs part of the cube to see if it's that, and it still doesn't work.
  • I tried doing a hard reset, still not working.

Again, it charges using the USB-C to USB-C cable when plugged into my mac desktop computer, but it won't charge when plugged into a power cube. I've had the original one replaced with another from Apple itself, and it still won't work. Can anyone help?

Greetings JazzyQuick,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand your MacBook Air isn't charging as expected.

Nice job with the troubleshooting you've taken. I suggest reviewing the steps outlined in the following support article, and reaching back out to Apple Support if the behavior continues: If your USB-C power adapter isn't charging your Mac notebook - Apple Support & Get Support
