Apple TV password issue

Our apple TV has asked us to re-enter our password and verification when trying to rent a movie. We have tried at least 5 times changing our apple password, typing in verification code with no luck. Very frustrating. Have updated software and done all the tricks we know. Anyone help? Thanks in advance

Apple TV Verification I’ve tried numerous times to enter my password and then the verification code it sent me. The next thing I receive is I have entered it in incorrectly. After trying many times and I changed my password to ensure everything was correct. When you receive the last message asking if it should remember the password, I have answered yes and no. It doesn’t seem to make a difference. I have even tried entering in a space between the two sets of the verification code; that doesn’t work either. Am I missing something too basic here?

logging into apple tv I cannot get past the log in stage. It is asking for a verification code and my password, but i only get the verification code enter my password - its too late. I am obviously doing something wrong and silly, but I am not sure what. Sorry for the basic question - any ideas welcome.
