ipad - guided access not working

I have a new ipad (7th gen, 13.2, model number MW742LL/A) and I can't get the guided access to work.


I have guided access turned on and when I triple click in an app it won't work. I've tried going into accessibility shortcuts as well to see if there is an option there but guided access isn't an option. I've tried restarting. I've set the passcode. Not sure what I'm doing wrong... any ideas?
