How do I blur something in a video using iMovie? I have read to go to my preferences, I can’t find it. Thanks.

How to blur part of a screen recording? I think that the only way to block portions of a video within iMovie is to use the Picture in Picture effect to overlay a patch onto the screen. You could create a patch and overlay it. I found a better way its called blurweb.app it helps to Hide Sensitive information while screen sharing It have feature like Click to blur Text, Image, Paragraph and more Blur Selected text Blur Rectangular Area Keep Blur - Blur will stay even with page reload have you tried blurweb.app?

How to blur part of a screen recording? I have a screen recording part of which I want to blur due to my own reasons. All I am seeing when I search how to do it is about blurring faces with other programs (this is a screen recording, there's no faces involved), and tutorials for old versions of iMovie. Can anyone point me to the right direction of what I can do?

There is no blurring effect on iMovie as such. But there is a workaround I use (Full Screen Blurring)

Slit the clip

Use Clip Filter

Use Negative or Xray Filter

I also use a third party app for Video Editor from App Store Use Keyword as "Mosaic Cut", Very precise blurring effect on portion of the video, Multiple burring etc
