my Apple Watch has the green snake of death and I can not get it working. I have tried holding both the buttons down and let it completely run out of charge then charge it again but nothing has worked.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you're having an issue charging your Apple Watch, and I'd like to do what I can to help out.
Take a look at this article with information on what to do If your Apple Watch won't charge or it won't turn on.
Once your watch is able to be charged, and if you're currently using an older watchOS as indicated when you posted your message, you'll want to Update your Apple Watch.
If after following the steps in that article your watch is still not charging, then you'll want to contact Apple Support, as you may need to send your Apple Watch in for service.
