Safari won't let me attach files in gmail

It is my understanding that you cannot attach files in Gmail using Safari but can attach files in Gmail using Chrome. Clearing the history and cookies may help. This article will provide you with the steps:

Safari > Preferences > Privacy >  Website tracking

Uncheck the box beside “Prevent cross-site  tracking” and try.

Reenable it afterwards.
