While downloading an App from App store, it asks for Administrator name and password and doesn't accept the Apple ID and Password. Pls advise

It isn't asking for an Apple ID, it is asking for the username and password to the Mac user account. The credentials you use to sign into your Mac after a startup.
Are you the administrator on the MacBook?
If not your don't appear to have permission to download and install on that Mac.

I am sorry but what do you mean by Administrator? It's my personal laptop so I presume I should only be the Administrator?
