I have a Logic Pro X - latest version - project I want to send to my son who uses GarageBand desktop and mobile so he can add some guitar tracks. How do I send it to him? I sent it as a GarageBand io project but it combines all my tracks into 1. I tried sending it a a Logic Pro project and he cannot open it. Any advice?
I'm afraid that won't work: Logic can open Garageband projects, but Garageband cannot open Logic projects. You both need to use the same program, preferrably the exact same versions, and preferrably also the exact same OS.
Unfortunately I don't know what that export function does, as I don't use any iOS devices. But I'll see what I can find in the manual...
Yep, they speak of a "new song with a single track containing a reference mix of the entire Logic Pro project", so that sounds like just a stereo mixdown to me.
Why does Logic offer an export to GarageBand iOS option? Is that just a full bounce of the project in a format that will open in GB iOS without individual tracks etc?
