Restricted News app?

I'm trying to use my News app, but when I look for it in my apps I can't find it. When I go to the App Store to download it, it appears as if I have it downloaded. When I press "open" it says that the app is restricted. "Restrictions Enabled Certain apps, features, or services can't be seen or used when Restrictions are on. To use this app, turn Restrictions off."

Now I've looked somethings up but nothing has really helped. I tried turning off Screen Time, turning it on and allowing access to everything, but it was to no avail. All and any help will be appreciated.

Hi Lightning_720,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand the News app on your iPhone is restricted and you're unable to resolve this issue.

Staying up to date with the news is important and I'd like to help.

Excellent job with the steps that were performed. To dive deeper, I recommend going to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps. Locate the News app and make sure it is turned on. This will ensure that the News app is displayed on the Home screen of your iPhone, along with the ability to access it.

Please let me know if that helps.

Kind regards.
