Removing Apple IDs from a device

Whenever I set up a new device (e.g. iPhone) for my daughter, I get asked to enter my Apple ID aswell as hers.

I think this is because initially, my Apple ID was used to purchase apps for her.

Those apps are now years old so I'd like to remove my Apple ID from her devices so that we don't have to log-in to multiple IDs when I set up a new device for her.

How do I remove my Apple ID?

Thank you

iPhone XR, iOS 13

One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.

Purchase History Review.

Or you can try to set up Family Sharing to keep access to your purchases.

Create a new Apple ID for yourself.

See How to create a new Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204316See the data implications below.

Some of these things will apply to your situation even if you are not changing your Apple ID: What to do after you change your Apple ID or password https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204071

Keep in mind that some things available under a first Apple ID will not be available under the new Apple ID. For example, you won’t be able to transfer anything purchased from the App and iTunes Stores to the new ID. And, there are other issues to be addressed. See

You also set up family sharing between the IDs to share purchases made with them. See:

Is there any way I can isolate the apps from the "wrong" ID?

Because we both have hundreds of apps, it's difficult to identify which apps from my ID are on her devices (i.e. find the ones we need to delete).

The apps seem to be in the Music Store rather than the App Store is that right?

Also, is there another route for her devices to "forget" the offering Apple ID, or will that ID remain whilst my apps are still resident on her devices?

Thank you for your help

We will try that then.

I think there are actually four Apple IDs linked to her app (and possibly music) purchases going back about ten years

The devices where she uses her Apple ID are an iPhone, iPad and on a MBP.

Does she need to perform the same delete/reinstall process across all devices, or, once she's done it once will it apply across her suite of products?

Thank you for the links.

I'm not actually creating a new Apple ID as my daughter will keep hers.

I'm just trying to avoid the continual logging on via the four different Apple IDs.

I recognise she can't keep any of the paid-for downloads on one of the other Apple IDs and that's ok.

I want to delete all trace of the other IDs on her devices so she can just manage it herself via her own ID.
