Importing Google Contacts into iCloud

I'm trying to import (well transfer actually) my Google contacts into iCloud. I have exported them from Google into a VCF file and tried importing that. There are about 30 contacts in total and it said it could not read 4 of them. I looked online and read about if there was a "VERSION 2.1" in there that could cause a problem but that is not the case, all are VERSION 3.

So I'm a little unsure why it is having problems reading my VCF file. Any other ideas

It is my understanding from your post that you would like to import your Google contacts into iCloud. While you have a .VCF not all the contacts were imported. For the ones that did not import, you may want to try exporting them from your Google contacts in vCard format and then importing them to iCloud again. This article will walk you through how to import a vCard into www.icloud.com:

Hi CP,

Thanks for the reply. I think there were 4 that it didn't import unfortunately it didn't say which so I'd have to go in and verify which it missed.

So even though I did export all into one VCF file I should go back and and re-export the ones that didn't into one VCF or should they be separate ones?

AZBigdogs,

You can export them into one vCard file. They will import as separate contacts as per the linked article:

"If the vCard contains contact information for more than one person, each contact becomes a separate entry."
