Reminders’ Alarm in iPad

Is there a way to set the reminder’s alert (alarm) in iPad to continue for a significant period of time (like how the iPad’s clock does) till I manually turn the alarm off, i.e., without relying on a third party app?

I did a test and it just alarms for a few seconds.
