iPhone photo gallery isn’t working

Hi, Need your helpful suggestion pls. I have problem with iPhone photo gallery. I’m using iPhone XR. I have purchased my iPhone from NewYork store when I travelled USA last year and still have warranty with extra Apple care for 1 year. When I try to capture pictures with my Phone it doesn’t save the photos. Is it software malfunction? I have tried to reset from iCloud backup but it still not working. There is no problem in my storage because it says I have used only 29.5 gb of 64 gb. I think I still have enough space for pictures.

I am living in Bangladesh where there is no official Apple store to check my issue. Thanks in advance whoever can give me nice suggestions.

Best

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities arhanfromsyd,

I see that you're having an issue with the photos that you take not saving to your iPhone. I know how important it is to be able to capture special moments, and I'd be happy to look into this with you.

You've done some great troubleshooting steps to try to resolve this issue that you've been experiencing. You mentioned that you reset and restored and iCloud backup. When you did the reset, did you test to see if the issue remained before restoring your iCloud backup? If not, let's try that.

From here we will want to have you back up your iPhone to iCloud or your computer. Once you've done that, restore the iPhone as new (this will wipe the iPhone again, thus why you'll want to have you back it up first), and then test the issue.

If the issue persists, then you'll want to contact Apple Support.

If the issue is gone, then restore the backup from iCloud or your computer to the iPhone. If the issue is still gone, you are all set and good to go. If the issue returns with the restore of the backup, then you know it is something with your backup. At that point, restore the iPhone as new again and then load your data back on manually.
