Spinning wheel and slow downloads

Hi every time I click on a new page it’s taking ages to fully load. At the same time in the top right hand, next to battery life info, there is a spinning wheel which constantly turns until the webpage is fully open. Any ideas please why this is happening. Thanks

Ventura, Safari 16.2 very slow hangs prior to loading websites Is anyone else having issues with Safari? I've never had these issues in the past, just upgraded to Ventura which generally went ok apart from Safari, now mostly hangs when going to a website, it could be sat there for over a minute loading the first page. Other times it will load just fine, but it's just random and makes it unusable. At the same time that I'm trying to open a page on safari, I've opened up chrome, opened several windows/websites and started working on them.

Round colorful spinning ball won't go away. When I'm Safari lately, my mouse turns into a colorful spinning ball. Sometimes it'll freeze up the page and I have to reload. Sometimes that works other times not. Then there are times the spinning ball doesn't interfere with my typing or reading and doesn't freeze page but after awhile it does plus it's annoying as hell. I've deleted history, caches to no avail. I have a strong Wi-Fi. I'm at a loss what to do to fix it.

Safari very slow after opening a website or refreshing a page. Using Safari 16.5 on Ventura 13.4 on an M1 MacBook Air (16GB of RAM) Safari is painfully slow after having loaded a website or refreshing the page I'm on. Most notably when using these forums, after opening a page or refreshing, the page will have seemingly loaded entirely. but Safari will not respond to anything but scrolling the page. Clicking does nothing. Right clicking or two-finger clicking will produce nothing most of the time or the pinwheel sometimes. After about 10 seconds or so, the page will start working normally. Clicks work, right clicks work, etc... all works normally until the next page change or refresh. If I click a link the opens in a new tab more than once during this time, it seems to actually buffer the clicks, and once Safari starts working again, and it will react to all the clicks, and the open the page multiple times in multiple tabs following the amount of clicks Only seems to happen in Safari. Firefox works fine. Any ideas? And yes, I have already cleared cookies and cache, and website data, and have restarted the Mac.

Some of it may simply be an overloaded network. The internet has never had to deal with this many people streaming and chatting all day like it is now.

Another thing you can try is to reboot your device.

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

You can also force quit safari. Double tap the home button and flick the preview off the screen, then reopen safari.

Sometimes that can clear things up
