Activation Lock

I bought an iphone from china..I restart it and there's Activation lock on it..I try to use My apple ID but it doesn't work..I took to a nearby shop and they are charging me almost the price of the phone i bought..Please can anything be done..It took me some time to save to get this phone please

If this is a used device, you will need to contact the previous owner to have them log out of iCloud or go to https://www.icloud.com/find/ My Phone and erase the device, then remove it from their account. If you can’t do that, the device is useless. 


Turn off Activation Lock - Apple Support.      


If necessary, if you are the original owner, contact Apple ID Support. They will need to see the original purchase receipt with the serial number/paperwork. You can contact them using the links donv posted.

To change the Apple ID on the phone, you'll need to sign into the account. If you can't do so, then see:

 

Security and your Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201303

 

This document says “without proof of your identity via security questions and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you reset a password or perform any other actions on your account.” 

 

So, you will not be able to remove the activation lock unless there are extenuating circumstances. Unfortunately, I don't think you have any extenuating circumstances. But, you still can try contacting Apple support for help. See:
