Catalina 10.15.4 Issues

There is one obvious issue and another possible issue. You have installed CleanMyMac, which is considered malware by experienced users. Please locate the instructions to uninstall it and then please uninstall. Mac OS does not need or benefit from any antivirus, cleaning or any other third party "maintenance" apps. If simply kept up to date it will run well for users for years. It is when users begin tampering by adding these "maintenance" apps that Mac OS becomes slow, unstable and appear buggy.

In addition your report indicates you may have failing hardware and has had many Kernel Panics I would recommend taking it to your local independent Apple Authorized Service Provider and have it checked out.

You have bogged down your computer by adding a lot of third party junk ware. You may be best served by doing an erase and install and beginning over after having it checked out by the Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Catalina is NOT the problem, it is stable and runs well for most users.

I had the same thing for a number of days. Then I ran an EtreCheck report and removed a couple of launch daemons that it marked as "suspicious or not signed", including WidevineMediaOptimizer, GoogleSoftwareUpdate and Flip4Mac. For three days now, there were no crashes.

I've had absolutely no problems on multiple Macs running 10.15.4

Then please create your own thread and post an EtreCheck Report of your system and we can look to see what you have installed that has caused the problem. You may have similar symptoms to the OP, however the cause may be completely different, this is why you should have your own thread rather than confusing the OP's situation with yours.

Have you uninstalled CleanMyMac?

Hi, please create your own thread and someone will help. Please include your EtreCheck report when you create your post. The reason we like to do this is not to confuse what is likely 2 totally different issues with similar symptoms.

I have not changed a thing since the upgrade to 10.15.4; not a single new app, no change in hardware; nothing at all. Before the upgrade I would have to reboot maybe once in a month or two. Since the upgrade it happens every time I open a lid after a sleep. And you're saying that the 10.15.4 is not the problem?

I am experiencing similar problems with my late 2013 Mac Pro. My Apple Trackpad and Intuos Pro tablet stop working or start behaving strangely, and my Mac spontaneously restarts. Initially this happened after it woke up from sleep, but since I disabled all energy saving settings it now happens randomly throughout the day.

Since the update I keep freezing, random restarts and getting error message “ application memory full” and I can’t even keep mail and safari open together?

it’s running awfully slow and I can’t seem to do anything about it.

This is my second laptop that got killed by Apple’s IOS update! I updated to Catalina and minutes later my perfectly running computer started to have errors then restart on its own. After that happened four times I closed the laptop to carry it and when I opened it the whole computer will not restart. I’ve been on the phone for two hours and their resolution is for me to pay out of my pocket to bring it in for repairs. Why do we need to pay for their corrupt updates!?
