VDC Assistant Missing in Activity Monitor- Camera Not Working
Are these two items related? I don't have a VDC Assistant and my camera is not working.

I see that the camera on your Mac isn't working, and I'm glad to help with this.
How to use safe mode on your Mac -- Restart your Mac in safe mode and see if you're able to use the camera Mac to start a FaceTime call. If it you're unable to while in safe mode, follow the steps under "If the issue continues in safe mode". If it works, follow the steps to use is under "If the issue doesn't continue in safe mode". You'll need to activate FaceTime in a new admin user account if it works.
