Question

.fcpbundle file do not include all media file in FCP-X 10.4.8

After updating to Catalina and FCPX 10.4.8, I experience changes in the .fcpbundle file function. Before all information and media was included in the file and could easily be copied. Now all media for the .fcpbundle file is in the separate directory such as "2020-02-05" and "Final Cut Original Media".

Is it possible to get back to the file structure where all file is included in the .fcpbundle file?

Whether all the media is included inside the library or stored externally, that is up to you.

By default, media is stored in the library, but you can change that.

Select the library in the browser sidebar and open the Inspector.

It may look something like the image below.

Leave backups where they are, but if you want everything else inside the library:

• click Modify and make the change - this will only affect future contents, it does not move anything

• click Consolidate to actually move the contents inside the library
